Stack Radar: Golf Speed and Practice Monitor
Stack Radar is a compact golf speed monitor that does more than display one number. It can measure practice-swing speed, support TheStack's adaptive speed sessions and unlock structured wedge practice and Practice Tracker on supported platforms.
What is Stack Radar?
Stack Radar is a portable speed-measuring device designed for golfers who want simple, useful feedback during practice. It detects clubhead speed and ball speed, and calculates an estimated carry distance and smash factor. It can measure the dry swings required for TheStack speed training.
Unlike a device that only provides a number on a screen, Stack Radar also integrates with the manufacturer's App so measurement data can be used in specific coaching and practice workflows.

Three important ways to use Stack Radar
1. Speed Training
Pair Stack Radar with the weighted Stack trainer to record the non-impact swings prescribed by your adaptive App programme. Bluetooth data transfer removes much of the need for manual speed entry.
2. Stack Wedging
Use your own wedges with Stack Radar and the compatible iOS app to practise changing carry distances. Guided targets, challenges and the App's real-time feedback make short-game practice more engaging.
3. Practice Tracker
Track range-shot performance, carry-distance estimates and consistency trends. The manufacturer now advertises Practice Tracker at no additional subscription cost for Stack Radar owners on its supported platform.
Bonus: your practice monitor
Use the device to measure speed and get feedback during ordinary hitting sessions. With consistent setup, it can help you better understand your typical carries and performance changes.
Clubhead speed, ball speed and smash factor
Clubhead speed is the speed of the club, which is the core number in Stack speed training. Ball speed is the speed of the ball immediately after impact. Smash factor is calculated from the relationship between these values and is a rough measure of how efficiently the clubhead speed was turned into ball speed.
Estimated carry distance is a model-based yardage, useful as feedback but not identical to a full high-end launch-monitor ball-flight calculation. Use it consistently to track trends rather than expecting perfect yardages in every environment.
Should you buy the Radar on its own or with TheStack?
It depends on what you already own and which part of your golf you want to improve. If you only want a portable speed and practice measurement device, Stack Radar can be purchased on its own. If you also want adaptive overspeed training, buy the combined package or add the weighted Stack trainer separately.
Stack Radar on its own
NZ$597 delivered — free NZ shipping. The speed monitor for measurement, Stack Wedging and compatible Practice Tracker sessions. App membership conditions apply to some features.
TheStack + Stack Radar bundle
NZ$997. The adjustable speed trainer, Stack Radar and one year of Premium App access with the hardware, plus eligible Coach Gurney review.

What devices does it work with?
On compatible versions of TheStack App, Stack Radar connects over Bluetooth. It is currently the manufacturer-listed direct Bluetooth speed device for the Android and Chrome Web versions. The iOS platform supports a wider range of third-party devices for speed training, but not every third-party radar can unlock Wedging or Practice Tracker.
How is it different from a premium launch monitor?
Stack Radar is designed to deliver focused speed and carry feedback in a small, approachable package. It does not claim to replace a complete TrackMan-style fitting or ball-flight analysis system. If you need comprehensive spin, club delivery and full trajectory data, choose equipment designed for that purpose. If you want purposeful speed sessions and practice feedback, Stack Radar fills a more specific role.
Stack Radar questions
Does the Radar include the weighted speed trainer?
No. It is a separate product unless you order the complete combo.
Does Stack Radar include Premium membership for a year?
The one-year Premium membership is included with TheStack speed-training hardware. Radar-only software offers can differ by retailer and promotion, so confirm the applicable NZ offer before assuming the same inclusion.
Does the Radar work for putting?
Stack Putting is a separate software training module and does not generally require Stack Radar. Radar is specifically used for speed measurement, Wedging and supported Practice Tracker features.
Can I use the Radar without striking a ball?
Yes. No-impact swing measurement is one of its key purposes, making it suitable for TheStack's guided speed workouts.
What does Stack Radar delivery cost in New Zealand?
Stack Radar on its own includes free standard delivery throughout New Zealand, as do the speed trainer and complete combo.
