Speed Training
If you want to hit the golf ball farther, the first job is to find out how much speed you can create — and the second is to train it consistently. TheStack brings adjustable training hardware and adaptive software together so each session has a reason behind it.
What is Stack speed training?
Speed training teaches your body to swing faster by exposing it to carefully varied loading and focused, high-intent practice. TheStack replaces a collection of separate speed sticks with one adjustable training club. You change the weights to create lighter and heavier swing demands, while TheStack App decides the sequence and records your responses.
It is important to understand what you are buying: not a quick swing tip, and not a promise of extra yards overnight. You are buying a repeatable training process you can follow over weeks and months, with measurable speed feedback along the way.

Step 1 — complete your baseline session
The App begins by asking you to make training swings with different Stack weights. A compatible radar measures those swings without needing to strike a ball. Those results provide a starting speed profile, helping the software recommend a programme suited to your current capabilities.
A golfer who can produce plenty of force but needs to develop faster movement may benefit from a different training emphasis than a golfer with the opposite profile. A baseline prevents the entire process from becoming guesswork.
Step 2 — follow the prescribed sessions

Once you choose a training programme, the App guides you through the loads, sets, repetitions and rest periods. It also helps you record speed data, and adjusts later sessions as your results change. Depending on the specific programme, many workouts take around 20 minutes, commonly spread over several sessions each week; follow the actual App schedule for your situation.
What happens in a session?
- Warm up properly before maximal efforts.
- Select the Stack weight the App specifies.
- Make the instructed swings with full intent and safe spacing.
- Record the speed shown by your compatible device.
- Rest for the prescribed time before the next set.
What does the App monitor?
- Actual swing-speed measurements.
- Performance across different training loads.
- Progress throughout a programme.
- Session adherence and recovery timing.
- Estimated equivalent-driver speed and distance potential.

Step 3 — move from one programme to the next
TheStack is more than a six-week challenge. Once a training phase is complete, the software can reassess your performance and recommend the next phase. The programme library includes options aimed at beginners and at golfers with differing strength, speed, timing and in-season priorities.
The Foundation
A common starting point for golfers new to structured speed work. It eases you into the process while establishing disciplined training habits.
Full Speed Spectrum
A broader training emphasis that challenges both force production and movement speed.
Heavy Hitter
Uses heavier loading to challenge force production and control through the swing.
Flexible programmes
Options such as Cruiser or Flex can accommodate different time commitments or maintenance phases. Select what your App recommends for your level.
Which speed numbers should you understand?
Stack Speed is measured with the standard Stack configuration. eSpeed is the App's estimate of equivalent driver speed, accounting for differences between the training club and a driver. Distance Potential estimates what that speed could produce with suitable launch and playing conditions; it is not a guarantee of your actual driving distance. Grit Score reflects how closely you follow the prescribed training schedule and rest.
What exactly do I need to begin?
Already own a compatible radar?
Choose TheStack speed-training hardware on its own. The App membership is included with the trainer. Make sure your radar can measure a swing without a ball and check whether data entry is automatic or manual.
Starting from scratch?
Our complete system adds Stack Radar, a portable Bluetooth-connected speed device. It takes the compatibility question out of your first purchase.
How does the coaching bonus work?
Buy your Stack training hardware through this NZ store and you receive a personalised online swing and speed review with Coach Gurney. That's in addition to the app-generated training plan and free standard nationwide shipping. We can also help you work through initial setup and compatible speed-device questions.

Speed-training questions
Do I have to hit golf balls while training?
No. Speed training uses high-intent swings without ball contact. Your radar needs to measure those non-impact swings.
Can I use my existing launch monitor?
Possibly. Compatibility depends on the exact model and the operating system. Check our radar guide before placing your order.
How soon will I gain distance?
Results vary by golfer, training quality and consistency. Treat the app's programme as a process, and judge progress from measured swings and on-course performance rather than a guaranteed number.
Is TheStack just for elite golfers?
No. Programmes can be personalised across different speeds and abilities. Golfers should train within their own capabilities and seek professional advice about physical limitations.
Can my family share one Stack?
The manufacturer's app supports multiple local users with suitable membership arrangements. Each golfer needs their own baseline and training history.
